If you are a health (or other) professional with a present interest in the management of chronic pain and a relevant qualification, you can apply for membership.
What are the benefits of membership?
Discounted rate to attend our meetings

Dissemination of information about suitable projects among the membership (subject to approval by Council)
Support the charitable work of the organisation
Are there different kinds of membership?
Yes. Most people will be eligible for Ordinary Membership.
All Members must
Have a present interest in the management of chronic pain
Have a relevant professional qualification
Ordinary Membership is open to anyone residing in or regularly practising in Scotland, Yorkshire and the Humber or the North-East or North-West of England.
Associate Membership is open to anyone who fulfills the criteria for Ordinary Membership but live outwith the stated geographical areas
How do I apply?
Complete the online application form
Please nominate two current members as sponsors
If you don't have two members to sponsor you, just enter 'None' in both fields. We will get in touch with you and ask you to provide a one page CV detailing current position, workplace and relevant qualifications.
Once membership is approved, pay membership fee (currently £15/year)
Our preferred payment method is for you to set up a Standing Order with your bank. Details will be provided after submission of your application.
What happens next?
As per the Constitution, all membership applications have to be approved by the Council. You will receive confirmation once this has been done.
Council may, at its discretion and without giving reason, refuse to admit any person to membership.
